JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our Immigration Department. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of substantial, recent business immigration experience and will be able to assume significant responsibility for case preparation and day-to-day case management under attorney supervision, moving matters efficiently from initiation through filing while recognizing issues requiring attorney attention.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a diverse caseload of employment-based immigration matters, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of petitions and applications.
• Prepare and file H-1B petitions, PERM labor certification matters, I-140 employment-based immigrant petitions, employment-based adjustment of status applications (Forms I-485, I-765, and I-131), L-1A and L-1B petitions, TN applications and petitions, and E-1 treaty trader and E-2 treaty investor matters.
• Draft responses to Requests for Evidence and other USCIS correspondence.
• Prepare immigration forms, petition letters, supporting documentation, and filing packages.
• Collect and review information and documentation from corporate and individual clients.
• Communicate directly with clients concerning case requirements, documentation, deadlines, and case progress.
• Monitor filing deadlines, status expirations, and other critical dates as part of ongoing case management.
• Review work product for quality and compliance, and mentor and support the development of junior paralegals and legal assistants.
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop practical solutions for complex immigration matters.
• Stay current on evolving immigration laws, regulations, and agency guidance, and apply that knowledge to client matters.
• Other ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The following qualifications and experience are required to perform this job:
• Associate's or bachelor's degree, or paralegal certificate, preferred; equivalent combinations of relevant education, paralegal training, and substantial business immigration experience will be considered.
• A minimum of five years of substantial, recent business immigration experience.
• Significant hands-on experience with H-1B and PERM matters.
• Experience preparing I-140 petitions and employment-based adjustment of status applications.
• Experience with L-1, TN, and E-1/E-2 matters.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. business immigration processes and government filing procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating directly and professionally with corporate and individual clients.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, or provide guidance to junior team members.
• The judgment and initiative to move routine case preparation forward independently under attorney supervision while recognizing issues requiring attorney attention.
• Familiarity with immigration case-management software (e.g., Docketwise or comparable systems) desired.

• This position is a hybrid position based in our New York office, with three days on-site (currently Monday through Wednesday), and additional in-office or in-person attendance as needed.
SALARY RANGE
$70-$95,000, depending on experience, plus a discretionary bonus.
